Crochet Classes

Learn to crochet! We offer a variety of crochet classes, taking you from absolute beginner to learning more advanced skills. Classes are held in-person at the Tea Cozy, in the morning before the shop is open.

 Knitting Classes

This fall we are offering a variety of knitting classes from beginning knitting to advanced knitting skills! Please note that some classes are offered online and some are held in-person at The Tea Cozy, either before we open or after we close. 

All online classes are taught live via Zoom, feature two cameras and are recorded in case you need to review a skill or miss a class.

Field Day Cardigan or Jacket

Cardigans are a wonderful layering piece when the weather gets chilly. Choose to knit the lighter Field Day Cardigan or heavier, warmer Field Day Jacket.  A great skill builder class for any level of knitter. This class is offered online and recorded so you can join the fun from anywhere!

Skill Level:  This class is for those who have a solid knowledge of knit and purl stitches, knitting flat and in the round, casting on and binding off. Familiarity with increases and German Short Rows is helpful but not necessary. You have knit a few accessories or a pullover sweater already.

Intro to Stranded Colorwork

You’ve mastered casting on, knitting and purling, and knitting in the round. Now it’s time to explore colors!

Skill level:  This class is for those who are comfortable knitting and purling in the round.

Taking the Eek out of Steeking

If you’ve been wanting to tackle steeking, but have been too nervous to try by yourself, this is the perfect class for you! 

Skill level:  This class is for those who have some colorwork experience and are comfortable knitting and purling in the round.

Beginning Knitting - First Cowl

Learn to knit! In this class we’ll learn all the knitting basics: casting on, knitting and purling, binding off plus seaming the finished garment. In three sessions you’ll have your very own chunky cowl and the skills to make more. This online class is perfect for the person who has never knit before or would like to refresh their skills. 

Skill Level:  Absolute Beginner!

First Hat

Knit your first hat! In this class we’ll learn to knit in the round while reviewing all the basics of knitting: casting on, knitting, purling, decreases, binding off and weaving in ends. In two sessions you’ll have a cozy hat to keep you warm.

Skill Level:  This class is for those who have basic knowledge of knit and purl stitches, plus casting on and binding off.

First Socks

Learn to make your first sock! From cuff to toe, this class will cover all the skills you need.

Skill level:  This class is for those who are comfortable knitting and purling in the round, and making increases and decreases.

Festive Baubles—2025 edition

Let’s make some festive baubles! And to make them even more fun, let’s incorporate some of your favorite colorwork designs from 2025.

Skill level: This one session class is for those who have some colorwork experience and are comfortable knitting and purling in the round, preferably on small needles.
