Taking the Eek out of Steeking Class
Taking the Eek out of Steeking
Steeking—aka, using scissors to cut through your knitting—is the knitter’s equivalent to flipping a pancake: a dazzling but terrifying maneuver.
If you’ve been wanting to tackle steeking, but have been too nervous to try by yourself, this is the perfect class for you! You’ll find out how to set up your knitting for a successful steek, master the crochet reinforcement technique, and snip with confidence. You’ll leave with a set of lovely two-color coasters and a true sense of accomplishment!
In this two session class, you’ll learn:
- the whys and hows of steeking
- setting up your knitting for steeking
- creating the steek bridge
- making a crocheted reinforcement
- snipping stitches
- finishing raw edges
